Stay clean
Twice a day gently clean the treated area with soap and lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean towel. It’s important to do this quickly and without scrubbing to avoid drying, irritating, or damaging the treated area. After drying, apply a thin layer of ointment provided by your technician or pharmacy.
Stay smooth
Avoid friction by wearing loose-fitting breathable clothing and refraining from scratching or picking. Friction, scratching, and picking can cause scarring and loss of tattoo pigment.
Stay dry
Avoid submerging the treated area in water for 1 week. So avoid swimming and soaking in hot tubs or baths. Excessive exposure to moisture can increase the risk of infection.
Stay fresh
Don’t engage in strenuous activities that may cause sweating or strain on the treated area. Especially avoid saunas and steam rooms that would encourage you to sweat.
Stay cool
Avoid direct sunlight to the treated area for 2 weeks. If you’re going outside, remember to wear loose fitting clothing, as mentioned in the avoiding friction section, or a sunscreen with 30 SPF or higher.
Stay healthy
Follow common sense health advice like monitoring your results for signs of infection, stay hydrated to encourage your body's natural healing process, and attend your follow up appointment.
